1° Day: Arrival in Matera and setting

The arrival in Matera marks the beginning of a unique journey. After checking in at a refined hotel, dedicate yourself to a first encounter with the city, letting the timeless charm of the Sassi envelop you gently.

2° Day: Adventure in Sassi and the Murgia Park

Cross the paths of Sassi di Matera, where history and craftsmanship come together in a sensorial experience: tufaroli, ceramics, whistles, bread stamps, papier-mâché, and oil are the protagonists of this lively cultural story. Visit the traditional oven with a bread-making lesson and tasting, and immerse yourself in the authentic atmosphere of the Casa Grotta and the rock churches.
In the afternoon, a gentle excursion to discover the Murgia Park, with an aperitif at sunset that paints the unique nature of the area with poetry.

3° Day: Murgecchia and the Crypt of Original Sin

A short transfer takes you to the prehistoric site of Murgecchia, a landscape that enchants among quarries and the historical wonders of the Crypt of Original Sin, where time seems to have suspended its breath.
The experience ends with an exclusive aperitif at Casal Dragone, a local wine factory, for a moment of Lucanian taste and hospitality.

4° Day: Between history and culture in the historic villages

Visit Craco, the famous ghost town and Pisticci, with a stop at the Amaro Lucano Museum. A journey between memory and culture, about 85 km from Matera.

5° Day: The Lucanian Dolomites on foot

Set off for a day among the charming villages of the Lucanian Dolomites, with a walk immersed in uncontaminated nature, far from the frenetic pace.

Walking route approximately 6 km, van transfers approximately 160km return.

6° Day: Castel del Monte, Trani and Bari

The last stop takes you to Castel del Monte, with its aura of mystery and architectural perfection. Then Trani, for a relaxing walk, before arriving in Bari for the final stay.

This is a route designed for those who want to experience Basilicata slowly, with respect and the desire to discover authentic stories and genuine flavours, starting every day from the splendid Matera and concluding with an encounter with the most authentic Puglia.
